On her 1850 census,
Emily is listed as
boarding with Joseph
Hall, a paper box
Manufacturer. in
Wallingford, Ct.

Husband Philo Hall's obit.
Emily moved back to her place of birth, Wethersfield, then Meriden, where she married Philo Hall.

Mr. Hall was from
Meriden, had moved
to Alabama, where he
started a prosperous
business, selling goods
throughout the state.

When the Civil War
broke out, they were
in Marion, Ala.
They had cleared a profit of $20,000, but before the war was over, they lost every penny they had.They moved back to Meriden, Oct. 1865.

In the 1900 &1910
census, there is a Clayton Davidson living with them, listed as a nephew.
Clayton was only a few months old when his father died in 1880.

His mother's name was
Margaret R. (Clark) Davidson, she was a 1/2 sister of Emily.
Emily is burried next to the Davidsons', in Walnut Grove
Cemetery.
