JL Mercer, 96, of San Angelo died Wednesday, June 21, 1995 at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday and Talpa cemetery and Talpa with Rev. Bob Johnson of Westside Baptist Church officiating.
Mr. Mercer was born January 6, 1899 in Bell County, Texas. He married Reathy Mercer in 1918 in Talpa. J L owned and operated J L Mercer Boot Company for many years. He was a member of the Westside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Reathy Mercer of San Angelo; one son and daughter in law, L J and Eleene Mercer of San Angelo: two daughters and sons in law, Estelle and Tom Hawke of Tucson, Arizona, and Gina and Joe Gadano of San Jose, California; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
