Story from Walter's grand daughter;

Walter Bailey's mother was an indian woman who died in childbirth. His father was a trapper and when she died he brought the baby to Bisbee, Arizona to be raised by the Palmer family. Because the Indians were so badly treated at that time, he never revealed his heritage. The day he married my grandmother Elese at age 14, she thought she was marrying Walter Palmer but instead she became Mrs. Walter Bailey.
