Mrs. Eve Schroen, 76, of Chatsworth, died at her home about
1:30 p m. Sunday, Feb. 1. She had
been ill for some time.
Visitation was at the Culkin
Memorial Home in Chatsworth
with the body being taken to the
church at noon on Tuesday.
Funeral services were held at
2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2 at St.
Paul's Lutheran Church with the
Rev. David Moke officiating. Miss
Clarice Gerbracht was organist.
Pallbearers were Wallace Wallrich, Walter Kroeger, Ben Saathoff, John Ruppel and Anton
Weller, all of Chatsworth, and
Leland Netherton of Melvln
Mrs. Schroen was born March
21, 1888, at Roberts, the daughter of Elmer and Ella Naegle
Knight. She married Charles
Schroen, March 17, 1909, in Germanville Township.
Surviving are her husband, two
sons, Dwayne of Griffith, Ind.;
Glenn of Chatsworth; one daughter, Mrs. Aldene Thackeray, Melvin: a sister, Mrs. Pearl Kemmer,
Roberts; two brothers, Elmer
Knight, Dunedin, Fla.; Bloyce
Knight South Bend, Ind.; and 11
grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Paul's
Lutheran Church, the American
Lutheran Church Women, and
the Germanville Community Club.
