Funeral services for Katie Miller Rubel, who died early Tuesday at the residence of her son, Robert O Rubel Jr, at 'Longview' on Moffett Road were held Tuesday afternoon at the Roche Funeral Home, with the Rev Tommy McClure of the Church St Church of Christ officiating. The body was sent Wednesday to Louisville KY for interment in the Cave Hill Cemetery.
Mrs Rubel was 90 years old and had been in failing health for some time. Her death was unexpected, however.
A native of Louisville, she had resided in Mobile for the past 26 years. Her husband, Robert O Rubel Sr, died several years ago. She was an active member of the Church St Church of Christ.
Besides her son, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs Neal Rubel Morris; a grandson, James Culven Morris Jr; and a great-grandson, James Culven Morris, 3rd, all of Louisville, and other relatives.

Her death record lists William Pimtele Miller as her father and Frederica Stapp as her mother.
