Louise B. Allen, 93 of Springfield, died on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Springfield.
She was born August 6, 1917. She married Robert E. Allen and he preceded her in death on February 18, 1988.
Survivors include three grandsons: Mike, wife Berrie, Allen of Manitowoc, WI, Jim, wife Jean, Allen of Rochester, IL, and Steve, wife Andrea, Allen of Geneseo, IL. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Helen Kremetzki of Springfield, IL, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her parents: William and Kathryn Wanless; six brothers: Robert, William C., Jerome, Joe, Paul, and Melvin Allen; four sisters: Margaret, Clara, Helen and Betty; and her only son, Robert E., Jr. all preceded her in death.
Louise was a lifelong resident of Springfield and was in the property management business.
A ceremonial tribute will be held at Oakhill Cemetery, 4688 Old Rte 36, Springfield, IL on Friday, August 12 at 3:00 pm.
