Gerald was the youngest son of Elizabeth Winifred Jessie More (1897-1965) and Arnold Herman Hanna (1898-1948). He married Barbara Ann Wulff on October 8, 1961. They had two children (Scott and Bethany). He served in the US Army in Korea and attained the rank of Corporal.
