Vincent F. Peluso Jr., 66, of 310A Big Estate Circle, Yemmesse, S.C., died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, in the Charleston Veterans Hospital in Charleston, S.C.
Born Sept. 8, 1944, in Jersey Shore, he was the son of Vincent F. Peluso Sr. and the former Lillian Brooks.
Vincent is survived by his wife, the former Flora E. Sorgengti; they recently observed their 25th wedding anniversary.
He was a graduate of the Jersey Shore High School and was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps.
Also surviving is two sons, Chester (Nickole) Peluso of Nebraska and Charles (Peg) Peluso of New York; three daughters, Jenny (Steve) Craft of Lock Haven, Nikki (Walter) Reese of Georgia and Vonda Bronson of New York; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, Pasquale (Carol) Peluso of Lock Haven; five sisters, Anna (Alvin) Welch of Miss., Phyllis (Gary) Heisley of Williamsport, Mary Probst of Lock Haven, Karen (Gary) Palmeter of Trout Run and Peggy (Glenn) Ludwig of Jersey Shore. Vincent was preceded in death by his mother and father, and a sister, Patty Wenner of Miss.
His greatest love was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family.
Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Indian Town Gap National Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, Aug. 9, 2011, in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.
