Funeral services for Edward Adamson, Jr., 50, of Rt. 1, Ocilla, who died at Tift General Hospital Friday, December 30, 1983, were held in the Ocilla Chapel of Paulk Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, January 1.
The Reverends Randall McMillan, Dewey Adamson and J.D. Murray officiated at the 2 o'clock chapel service and music was provided by Mrs. Ann Martin, organist and Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Martin, singers.Interment was in Pinetta Cemetery in Irwin County.
Pallbearers were Jack Ewing, Keith Wynn, Kelly Wynn, Lamar Wright, John Wiggins, and Chris Pate.
Born October 20, 1933 in Cleburne County, Alabama, the deceased, who was disabled was the son of Edward Eugene Adamson, Sr. and Erma Wright Adamson. Mr. Adamson had lived in Ocilla most of his life and was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Adamson of Ocilla; a brother, Weldon Adamson of Valdosta; a sister, Mrs. Bobbi Nell Wynn of Ocilla; a niece and two nephews.
Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
