Forrest G Kauffman grew up in Eastport, Michigan, with his parents, Harvey E. and Caroline Weaver Kauffman, and his two sisters, Fiance and Maguerite. He was preceeded in death by his first wife, Elsie Grace Smith Kauffman and son, Lloyd E Kauffman. At his homegoing in 1977 he was survived by his wife Maxine George Kauffman, of Englewood, FL, sisters Fiance Shanley of Petoskey and Marguerite Mannary of Orlando, FL and a brother, Dr. Richard Kauffman of Dundalk, MD. He is also survived by daughters Fiance Buck and Loretta Broski, both of St. Petersburg, FL, son and daughter-in-law Jess R Kauffman and Sally Bare Kauffman of Ann Arbor, MI, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Forrest Kauffman was a well-known, self-made, Petoskey businessman who established Kauffman's, a very successful appliance and furniture store. He was much loved by his family and is greatly missed.
