Mr. Penner died suddenly Saturday evening in Omaha as the result of a heart attack. Interment was in the Mount Hope cemetery at Omaha.
As a boy he attended the District 10 school. He was a longtime resident of Hastings, where he was employed by the Chicago and Northwestern railroad. He retired from active duty on the railroad only two months ago.
