Edward J. Hall, age 78, of Warsaw, IN (formerly of South Holland, IL) passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011.
Ed is survived by two sons: Robert of Crown Point, IN and Richard of Warsaw, IN; four daughters: Diane Williams of Merrillville, IN, Judith (Donald) Mecchia of Hammond, IN, Joan (Michael) Reed of Rochester, IN, and Denise Barnes of Aurora, MO; brothers: William (Wilma) Hall of Streator, IL and William Matthias of Buckner, IL. Cherished grandfather of 18 and great-grandfather of eight. Dearest brother-in-law of Seward Bohannon of Sauk Village, IL, Richard (Janice) Johnson of Sumner, WA, James (Mildred) Eenigenberg of Crete, IL, Ronald (Ruth) Swets of Dyer, IN, and Gerald (Liane) Koster of Lansing, IL; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his wife, Carolyn (nee Koster); and his sisters: Rosemary Bohannon and Dorothy Reed.
Ed was retired from The Whiting Corporation. He also proudly served his country through his military service in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and earned many medals.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Kish Funeral Home, (Swets Funeral Service, Directors), 10000 Calumet Ave., (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN with Pastor Tim Koster officiating.
Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
Friends may visit with the family Friday, August 12, 2011 from 2:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
