Mrs. Nannie Amend, a well known resident of the Elston neighborhood, died at 4:45 this morning after an illness of eight months of heart trouble.
Mrs. Amend was 58 years old and resided in Cole County nearly all her life. She was born in Dallas, Tex., but was brought here by her parents when a child.
She is mourned by her husband, John Amend and three sons, Charles, Ernest and John.
The funeral will take place Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the family home near Elston. Burial will be made in the Elston Cemetery. She was a life-long member of the Baptist Church and a good Christian woman.
