BENBROOK - Samuel Woodrow McKnight, 73, a retired Air Force technical sergeant, died Friday, March 21, 1997, at home.

Graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Baumgardner Funeral Home in Fort Worth .

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donation to Community Hospice.

Samuel McKnight was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Moncks Corner, S.C. He spent 20 years in the Air Force, including service in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

Survivors: Wife, Ruby Lee McKnight of Benbrook; sons, Terry McKnight of Portland, Ore., Tom McKnight of Fort Worth and Tim McKnight of Grand Prairie; daughters, Debra Gilbreath of Waco, and Stephanie Papai of Fort Worth ; brothers, Aric McKnight and Hermon Murden, both of Charleston, S.C.; sister, Bertha Gann of Atlanta, Ga.; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
