Sidney S. Holder, 81, of Greenville, died Wednesday at 2:15 a.m. at a local nurisng home.
Funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Coker-Mathews Chapel with burial to follow at Tidwell Cemetery.
Born Dec. 2, 1900, in Fannin County, he was the son of G. W. and Lucy Sanders Holder. He married Norma Duff Feb. 18, 1923, in Greenville. A retired telephone construction worker, he was a member of Ardis Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son, Alan G. Holder of Bonham; daughters, Nadyne Elliot of North Little Rock, Ark. and Verue Miller of Seattle, Wash.; brothers, M. C. Holder of Lake Tawakoni and G. W. Holder of Clarksville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife on April 24, 1974.
