Mrs. Emily Pickett died at the home of her son, Byron Picket, near Monroe, on Friday, April 15, 1898, aged 67 years, 11 months and 1 day. The deceased is well known to many people in Argyle, being a sister of F.G. Wyman of this place, and mother of Frank Pickett of Woodford.
Services were held at her late home and also at the grave, the remains being interred in the Argyle Cemetery on Sunday.
