On 29 May 2019, Find A Grave contributor Loretta Lynn Layman submitted the following:
On 8 February 1819, a petition was filed in Mifflin County Court, Pennsylvania, including a deposition that names Peter Sailor as one of the children of Philip Sailor, a Revolutionary War soldier. It states further that all the children including Peter were then 21 years old or above. Known birth dates for the children are between 1780 and 1800.
Given that this Peter was born in Pennsylvania and Philip's son Peter has not been found subsequent to the 1819 petition, I believe that this Peter is Philip's son. Philip's Findagrave memorial is #97404102. The surname has been written in various records for this family as Sailor, Saylor, and Seiler (the last being the original German spelling found in early records of Peter's father).
