Information provided by Robert Abney: William Abney is mentioned in the Masonic Deaths in Itawamba #218, Mooresville. He and his wife lived in the now extinct town of "Abney" about 2 miles south of Dorsey. The town of Abney was apparently named after the first postmaster.
