Funeral services were held Jan. 13 at Mt. Vernon Gardens Mausoleum in Memphis, Tenn., for Olen Leonard Austin, who died on Jan. 10 at St. Joseph's East Hospital in Memphis at age 70. Services were conducted by Rev. Al Doyle, pastor of the Memphis First United Methodist Church in Memphis, and interment was in Memphis.

Mr. Austin was a native of Houston. He was the son of Mrs. H S Austin of Houston and the late H S Austin of Houston.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Halia Austin; four brothers: William, of Memphis, James and Robert of Oxford, and Thomas of Houston, Miss.; five sisters: Mrs. Mary Triplett of Brooksville, Miss., Miss Lucille Austin of Houston, Mrs. Lena Armour of Houlka, and Mrs. Kate Word of Ashland, and Mrs. Elizabeth May of Memphis.

Masonic rites were held by members of the Lelia Scott Lodge, of which he was a member.
