From the Oregonian, 7 May 1949:

Funeral services for Sgt. Hilton R. Clunas, son of Mr. and Mrs. William W. Clunas, 402 S. E. 31st Avenue, will be Saturday at 11 a. m. in the House of Holman, with vault entombment in Lincoln Memorial Park.

Sergeant Clunas was killed in action with the Army infantry on Mindanao May 11, 1945. He was born in Muscoda, Wis., June 10, 1922, and was working at Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation at the time of his enlistment in October, 1942.

Surviving are his parents, three brothers and three sisters, Everett, Bill, Jack and Lorene Clunas, Mrs. Aileen Birkholz and Mrs. Audrey Buckner, all of Portland.
