Goldie Mae Book
Goldie May Book, daughter of Amos and Susie Royer, was born in Dallas county on May 12, 1878, and died at her farm home north of Estherville at 12:20 a.m. on April 11 at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 29 days.
She married Ira Bruce Book on March 26, 1899. Mrs. Book had lived in Emmet county since 1914 when she and her husband moved here from Dallas county. Since early childhood she has been a member of the Church of the Brethren near Adel.
Preceding her in death were her husband, who died in 1944, and a son Everett. Surviving are five sons, Fermon of Des Moines, Lee of Estherville, Ethan and Donald living at home, Loren of Sandpoint, Ida., one daughter, Mrs. Herb Dean (Irene) of Spirit Lake; two brothers, Earl and Linn Royer of Dallas county; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
