Lester Bergeson
Estherville – Services for Lester K. Bergeson, 78, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with the Rev. Robert Kunz of the Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Saturday, April 16, 1988 at his home.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

He was born March 17, 1910 at Gruver, the son of George and Hannah (Williams) Bergeson and was raised on a farm north of Gruver. He graduated from Gruver High School. On Dec. 30, 1938 he was married to Muriel M. Myers at Spirit Lake. The couple lived on a farm north of Gruver many years until moving into Estherville in 1962. He was employed as a security guard for the John Morrell Co. until his retirement. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth of Boone; four daughters: Mrs. Don (Bonnie) Mitchell, Shakopee, Mn., Mrs. Larry (Julie) Clark, Estherville; Mrs. Dean (Vivian) Koenecke, Apple Valley, Mn. and Mrs. Tim (Ellen) Heidicker, Spring Lake Park, Mn.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mabel Ramsey, Sacramento, Ca. and Mrs. Victor (Esther) Seward, Reseda, Ca.
