He is the son of Lawrence & Rebecca VanCleve VanBuskirk. He married Mary C Steinberger on 1 Aug 1869 In Champaign Co., Ohio. He died of Consumption R 29 YRS 15 DAYS. He was educated at Wesleyan Univ in Delaware, Ohio In 1870 he located in Mt. Vernon & commenced reading law with DC Montgomery esq.. He got a deputyship in the auditors office & he was teaching school in Fredericktown. They are the parents of Lucy May & Beatrice Maud.
