Evelyn Lorene Nance, 84 of Mt. Vernon, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the East Texas Medical Center in Mt. Vernon. She was born on October 8, 1926 in Mead, Oklahoma to the late Claude Miller and Pearl Lorene Reese Miller. Evelyn was raised in West Laister South West of Kingston, Oklahoma. She married Albert Nance on August 4, 1943 in Kingston. She moved to California where she lived for several years before moving to Oklahoma. Evelyn lived in Clinton, Anadarko and Freer, Texas before moving to Hobbs, New Mexico where she lived for the past 30 years. In 1995 she moved to Mt. Vernon where she lived the rest of her life. Evelyn was a member of the First Assembly of God church in Hobbs and she enjoyed mending clothing and helping kids and orphans any way she could.
