Mary Jim Andrews Farrington, 96, of LaFayette, died February 21, 2012 in Columbus, Georgia.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Jeff Jones Funeral Home in LaFayette from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. CST.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in LaFayette. Burial will follow in the LaFayette City Cemetery.

Mrs. Farrington is survived by three daughers, Carol Upton and her husband Ken of Cedartown, GA.; Kay Frost and her husband Jack, and Claire Beil and husband Jacob of Columbus, GA; seven grand chidlren, David Upton (Lonna) of Suwanee, Ga., Jodi Upton Kuehl (Kelly) of Leeds, AL., Mark Upton (Robin) of Silver Creek, Ga.; Jason Frost (Jenna), Jarred Frost (Jana), Josh Beil, and Brad Frost (Karen), all of Columbus, GA. She was blessed with 10 great grandchildren Kyle Upton (Natalie), Taylor Upton (Susan), Lane Upton, Caitlin, Maddie, Garrett, Lila and Jolieann Frost; three sisters, a brother-in-law, and two sisters-in-law, Helen Sheppard, Dot Allen (Palmer), Jean Owen, Ethel Andrews, and Polly Farrington.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, A. C. Farrington, her mother and father, Bertha and Jim Andrews, a sister Elizabeth Cotter and a brother Len Andrews.

Mrs. Farrington was a member of Woodshop-Center Home Demonstration Club and the Hamburg Club. She was an active member of The LaFayette First United Methodist church for 67 years where she taught Sunday School, seved on various church boards and was a member of the Annie Willingham Circle of the United Methodist Women. She also worked on the Angel Dell Ministry.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Upton, Kelly Kuehl, Mark Upton, Jason Frost, Jared Frost, Josh Beil and Kyle Upton.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to LaFayette First United Methodist Church, LaFayette AL.
