OBIT: DEPORT TIMES 30 Apr 1942, Thursday, from microfilm in the Clarksville Library: Murray Livingston Anderson, 54, died at his home south of Deport Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock following a stroke of paralysis. He had been in ill health only a short time. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Carter McKemy assisted by the Deport Masonic Lodge of which he was a member, Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Anderson. Pall bearers were J. B. Griffin, Wesley W. Walker, Max Petty, Karl V. Kimball, E. E. Andersona and Jim Rollins. Interment was made at the Highland cemetery with J. M. Grant Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Anderson was born at Fulbright March 2, 1888. He was married to Miss Mae McDonald of Deport in 1909 and four children who survive by this marriage are: Mrs. Grayson Hughes, Mrs. Dwaine Wheat, Mrs. Warren Albertson, all of Dallas, and Miss Alice Anderson of Deport. Following his first wife's death he was married to Miss Edith McClure of Blanket, and to this union three children survive: Miss Edith Ruth Anderson of Dallas, Miss Mary Frances and Billy Murray of Deport. At one time he served as pastor of the Presbyterian church at Blanket, but in later years engaged in farming. Deceased is survived by his widow and the seven above named children, his parents, one sister, Mrs. John A. Thompson, one brother, M. V. Anderson of Deport and three grandchildren. Among those from out of town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Warren Albertson and son, Darrell; Mr. and Mrs. Dewaine Wheat and baby; Mr. and Mrs. Grayson Hughes and daughter, Sandra Merle, Mr. and Mrs. Dan McKinney and Miss Edna Ruth Anderson all of Dallas and Mr. and Mrs. Durwood Elder of Carrollton.
