He enlisted in Captain Mills' company on September 15, 1776, and was captured defending Fort Washington on November 16, 1776. In addition, he served with Captain Amasa Mills' company from June 21 to July 4, 1778. He also served with Colonel Enos' regiment for three months in 1778.
He married Miss Roxaline Crowe at New Hartford, Connecticut in the First Congregational Church on February 5, 1782.
Died at Oak Hill, Greene, New York, USA
