Mr. Thompson had held numerous Western Pennsylvania pastorates, the last being with a church in Altoona.
He held lodge affiliations with the Odd Fellows and Masons.
Mr. Thompson was born May 4, 1893, in Cowanshannock, PA.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rebecca Thompson, his mother, Mrs. John Thompson, Sr., a daughter, Mrs. Huston; two grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. George A. Rhodes of Kittanning and Mrs. Franklin Mateer of Allentown.
Friends will be received until noon Monday at the late home, Petersburg RD 1. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the ENB Church at Mapleton Depot, in charge of Rev. Dr. Hawk.
Interment will follow in a nearby Odd Fellows cemetery.
Arrangements are in charge of Spyker Funeral Home, Petersburg.
