Jessie H James Obit

Jessie H. James was born in Kentucky, Nov. 10, 1839. At the age of 19 years he came to Greenbush, Warren Co., IL. At this place he was married to Hannah Luther Jan. 5th 1862. To this union 4 children were born, William Ell worth, Herbert Byron, Letitia, Minne Belle. In the year of 1871 he moved to Wilber, Nebr. where his wife died 3
years later; Jan. 19, 1874. He was married to Lydia Smith at Dorchester July 6, 1878, who died in 1894. July 5. 1897 he was married to Anna Mary Smith and during this year he was happily converted to God and continued steadfastly in the Christian life having united with this church at that time and remained a member till the time of his death which took place at 5:30 Sunday morning at his own home; at the age of 71 years,
months and 3 days.

He leaves a wife, two sons, William Ellworth and Herbert Byron. Two daughters, Letitia Norris and. Minnie Bell ,Wattles, to mourn, his loss.

Funeral services were held in the Evangelical church at 2:30 P. M. Monday Feb. 6, 1911 by Rev. Bashford. Text: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. Heb. 13: 5.
