Coolidge K. Beasley, 89, of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at his home.
Mr. Beasley was born in Carroll County to the late Wise Kastious and Grace Stone Beasley.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Alpha Rachel Cox Beasley; brothers, Edsel Beasley, Weldon Beasley, and John Beasley; and sisters, Helen Robinson, and Vada Norris.
Survivors include his children, Bob Beasley, Danny Beasley, Belinda B. Lineberry, and Joey Beasley all of Hillsville; sisters, Laura Beasley Melton of Hillsville and Hazel Ayers of Knoxville, TN;
brother, Richard Beasley of Roanoke;
several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Hillsville Christian Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Amanda Hatfield Moore officiating.
Burial will follow in the Richard Beasley Memorial Cemetery.
Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
Flowers are appreciated; however, donations may be made to the Hillsville Christian Church or the Richard Beasley Memorial Cemetery Fund.
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
