Harold Patrick Desso age 77 drowned at Metcalf Pond. He was 77. He was born March 17th, 1909 (many great St. Patty's Day celebrations had and still think of him every year on that day). He was born in Westford, VT the son of Louis and Ida (Devino) Desso. He married Neva (Hicks) his wife of 55 years, April 23, 1930 in Essex Junction.
Harold worked for Drury Brick and Tile for more than 45 and several years for the Pizzagalli Construction Co and the Champlain Valley Exposition for five years as well as being a retired farmer and an active woodsman.
He is survived by his wife, Neva. Four brothers Wilfred and Roma of Essex, Lyman of Colchester, CT, and Charles of South Burlington. Three sisters Dorothy Weston of Essex, Carrie Bourgeois of Underhill and Velma Russin of New Braintreee MA, 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00am at the Corbin and Palmer Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the family lot in Fairview Cemetery
