Oronogo, Mo - Services for William H Higley, SR, 80, who died at 5:50 am at Oak Hill Hospital, Joplin, MO will be at 11 am Thursday at the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home, in Webb City.

The Rev. Royce Willerton will officiate, Burial will be in the Carl Junction Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Blythe, Rober Turnbull, Elwood Buckner, Bill West, Tom BZoyd and Lendell Reed

The family will be at the home of his daughter, (the address is listed in the obit, but not including it here),

Mr Highley was born Aug 26, 1907 in Venice, IL; He had resided in Jasper County for about 66 years. Before retirement in 1970, he was a heavy equipment operator in road construction.

He married Thelma Ziegler on Nov 9 1929 at Carthage, She Survives

Additional Survivors include two sons, William H Highley Jr, and Jack L Highley, Oronogo, A Daughter Doris J Guinn, Brother Car Highley, Three Sisters Vela House, Edna Felkins, Dorothy Campbell, seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren
