Obituary of Mrs. Jennie Cornelia Page Foster,
Jennie Cornelia Page was born Nov. 17, 1857 at Fullerton City, Ill., and died at her home in Tamora [Nebraska] Thursday morning, Dec. 30, 1887, aged 40 years, 1 month and 13 days. When three years of age she with her parents moved to Cambridge, Ill., where she resided, with the exception of a few years during which time she taught school in this county, until her marrage to Leander R. Foster at Cambridge, Ill., Oct. 29, 1879. In the following November they moved to Seward county, Nebr., which has since been their place of residence. To them were born four children, two sons who died in infancy [Paul and Henry] and two daughters [Claudia and Crissie] who with her husband and one sister, Miss Crissie Page, are left to mourn the irreparable loss of a kind and affectionate wife, mother and sister. The funeral services were held Saturday morning, Jan.1, at the Presbyterian church, of which church she was a member, and was conducted by Rev. Z. Morrison.
