Mrs. Polly Jane Brown, 90, of Diamondhead Extended Care Center, died of congestive heart failure Thursday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center after a six month illness.
Mrs. Brown was born April 2, 1989, in Paris, Ky., a daughter of James and Nancy Columbia Hash, coming to Youngstown in 1916. She was a member of Wysteria Rebecca Lodge No. 817 of Struthers and its Past Noble Grands Club.
Her Husband, Howard L., whom she married in 1947, died December 4, 1970.
She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Mary McCutcheon of Youngstown, Mrs. Ruth Hahlen of North Georgetown, Ohio and Mrs. Agnes McCormick of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Betty Zetts of Palm Bay, Fla.; a brother, William Hash of Youngstown; a sister, Mrs Rose Corman of Struthers; a foster grandchild; 31 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
A son, William H. Boughner; two daughers, Ms. Martha L. Lepsik and Mrs. Virginia Everson; a brother; four sisters; and a grandchild are deceased.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday. A lodge service will be at 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
