FORMER RAILROAD MAN HERE DIES IN TEXAS
Fred C Sleight, former railroad man here and in Texas, died Saturday in Houston, Texas at the home of his son, Almer Sleight. He was 74.
Mr Sleight left St Louis about six years ago to go to Tucson, Ariz for his health. He moved to Houston a year ago.
In St Louis he worked for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Lines in the claim department. Before he came here about 1920 he had been traffic manager for the Missouri. Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad in Dallas and a general agent and traveling auditor for the St Lous-Southern Railway in Texas.
Surviving, in addition to his son, are two daughters, Mrs. R.R. Hutchinson of St Louis and Mrs. Irma Conger of Phoenix, Ariz; two sisters, Misses Fannie and Lillie Sleight, and a brother, George Sleight of St. Louis. The body is being taken to Hillsboro, Ill. for burial.
