Janet I. Rutherford, 90 of Pengilly, Minn., died on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011 in the Grand Village Nursing Home.
She was born on Jan. 24, 1921 in Winner, Minn., Elkwood Township, she was the daughter of Ole and Gina Moen. As a teenager in 1939 they moved to Hubbard, Minn.
She married Earl A. Rutherford on Sept. 16, 1944 in Park Rapids, Minn. and later moved to Pengilly in 1952.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the East Side Neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Rutherford on June 14, 1983, a daughter; Darla Rutherford on September 9, 2006, a sister Hazel LaBonte and brothers; Olaf and Grant Moen.
Survivors include her children, James Rutherford, Jane (Dwight) Randall, Doris (Bob) Klinker, Ardis (Jim) Kluck, all of Pengilly, Minn., and Dean (Rose) Rutherford of Grand Rapids.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011 in the Pengilly United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
Arrangements by the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.
