Oliver Wilcox Clark, son of Ivan and Eva (Rockwood) Clark, was born September 12, 1912 on a farm in Lincoln County near Tea, SD. He grew up in Sioux Falls, SD and graduated from Washington High School in 1930.

Oliver was united in marriage with Alvina I. Anderson in Canton, SD on February 2, 1934. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls. Oliver entered the U.S. Navy on January 27, 1944 at Omaha, NE. He was honorably discharged on December 29, 1944 at Portsmouth, VA. He returned to Sioux Falls where he worked in sales for Fantle Brothers, G & G Rug Company and Ulven Furniture. He retired from Donahue Furniture in 1977. Following his retirement, Oliver and Alvina wintered in Mission, TX for several years.

Oliver was a member of First Baptist Church for almost 50 years. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and Sertoma International. He also had served on the board of Glory House in Sioux Falls.

Grateful for having shared his life are three children, Ron Clark and his wife, Barb, Sioux Falls, SD, Bradd Clark and his wife, Carol, Lafayette, LA, Gayle Raborn and her husband, Barney, Germantown, TN; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Harriet Branson and her husband, Buil, Sioux Falls, SD; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alvina, on February 26, 1996; an infant daughter, Karen; and his parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family for lunch and fellowship at George Boom Funeral Home following the committal service.
