Robert Dennis Clemts (1935 - 2011)

July 9, 1935-August 7, 2011

Bob fought a courageous battle with cancer and lost his life at the age of 76.
He's preceded in death by his parents Claude and Anna Bell Clemts and sister Annie Eugenia Clemts.
Cherishing his memory is his wife Sheila Clemts, sister Stella Clemts Shows, son Daniel Clemts, his wife Tamera, daughter Sandra Clemts Graham, her husband Ken, son William Young and daughter Jackie Young Bellamy, her husband Jeremy, and five Grandchildren; Matt, Kendra, Derek, Alyssa and Tyler and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob started his military career in the Army National Guard in 1951 and later went into the Army. After the Army he joined the USAF. Bob had a long and distinguished military career of 28 years receiving numerous accreditations. He served his country at bases in the U.S. and abroad. Bob ended his military service at Randolph AFB, TX achieving the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. His next service to his country was in Civil Service at the Air Force Personnel Center at RAFB, TX in 1980 where he retired in August 2000.
Bob's hobbies included bowling (before the deposit of the bowling ball in the creek), traveling, hunting, fishing, military history, watching old westerns, spending time with his children and grandchildren and somewhere I heard the word golf in his hobbies…never saw the golf clubs as they somehow got bent and thrown into the lake.
Bob will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. God's Speed on your White Horse going to be with God in Heaven.
A visitation will be held at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A graveside service and interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 10:45 A.M with military honors.
