"Randall Frederick "Randy" Monnet died Thursday at his home in Carmel. He was 90. Born March 1, 1907, in San Jose, he had lived in the San Francisco Bay area until moving to Carmel in the early 1960s. Mr. Monnet served as an Army officer during World War II. He enjoyed gardening and traveling. He is survived by two daughters, Nicola Tugwell of Carmel Valley and Carla Kramer of Friday Harbor, Wash.; a son, Hank Eickhoff of South Lake Tahoe; and four grandchildren. His second wife, Idell, died in 1996. Family and friends will gather in remembrance at the Tugwell family home Jan. 18. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements." END
