PARK - Onos M. "Buck" Garrett Jr., 71, a retired employee of Otis Elevator Company, died Thursday at a Weatherford hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Southern Funeral Home in Winfield, La. Burial: Sardis Cemetery in Winfield, La. Visitation: 7 to 9 tonight at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Onos Garrett Jr. was born May 20, 1925, in Calvin, La. He was a 40-year employee of Otis Elevator Company and retired in 1991. He was a dedicated employee and a hard worker. He started out with Otis as a helper, then went on to be a mechanic, then a local representative and eventually into management.

He served in World War II for four years in the Army Air Forces and received several citations. He was loved by his wife and his beloved dog, Jet, who is still waiting for him to come home. God be with you, Buck.

Survivors: Wife, Helen Garrett of Willow Park; sister, Irma Moseley of West Monroe, La.; stepsister, Jerry Pace of Lake Cormarant, Miss.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
