He was a pillar of responsibility his entire life. Starting with his service to the nation, he served in the Pacific Theatre as a Naval Corpsman. Returning from the war, he married long-time sweetheart, Janette Knight and they built their first home in the Fair Park area and began a family. His long service with Merck again highlighted a career of responsibility. Important to the whole family was Urban Park UMC. He felt his most important responsibility was to his family especially to his wife, Janette of 61 years who predeceased him in 2007. He is survived by son, Paul Scott & wife Ruth. Daughter, Connie Desmond & husband Bob. Grandchildren, Leasa Milligan, Glenn & Misty Scott, Derek & Stephanie Freeman and Phillip Scott. Great Grandchildren, Leigha Milligan, Maddie Freeman and Chase Scott. He is also survived by his brother, Albert Scott and many nieces and nephews.
