John C. Adams, 48, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 1972 in his garage where he was working on his car. Deputy Dane County Coroner Donald Scullion ruled the death accidental due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Mr. Adams was born in Madison. He was a sales representative for the Koppers Co. Inc. of Elmhurst, IL and a veteran of World War II. In 1947, he married Dorothy Sherry. They lived in Anoka, MN until moving to Sun Prairie a week ago. Surviving are his wife; three sons, John and Steven, both of Anoka, MN and Thomas, at home; three daughters, Sherry of Anoka, MN and Barbara and Judy, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Adams, 1610 Chadbourne Ave., Madison; and two sisters, Mrs. George Bergren of Minneapolis, MN and Mrs. James Green of Cedar Falls, lA. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Tuschen Funeral Home. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today. WSJ 8/22/1972
