Rev. C.J. Bolton, aged 86 years, a retired Baptist minister, died early Monday night [January 3, 1955] at the Hardin Memorial Hospital where he had been transferred 2 days before from a nursing home in Louisville. Rev. Bolton lived for many years at West Point and Muldraugh and served churches in that section of the county. Surviving him are 2 daughters, Miss Clara Bolton, Elizabethtown and Mrs. Ralph Burnett who lives near Buck Grove Church; and 2 sons, C.J. Bolton Jr. and Robert Bolton of Del Rosa, CA. Mrs. Bolton died in October 1953 and a son, Dargan Bolton is also deceased. Funeral services for Rev. Bolton were held Wednesday afternoon at Dixon and Atwood’s chapel by Dr. V.C. Kruschwitz and burial was in the city cemetery.
