MRS. S. EDGAR WAS PAST OES MATRON


Mrs. Stanley (Deborah A.) Edgar, 71, died at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital at 5:15 a.m. Friday, after having been hospitalized for 5 days. She had been in failing health for several months.


She was the daughter of the late John A. and Evelyn F. Storrs Willets, and was born near Savannah Missouri on May 25, 1897 She has been a Clarinda resident for 41 years, until recently she has assisted her husband with the sheriff's responsibility by being matron at the county jail.


She has been active throughout her life in groups of the Methodist Church. She is past Martin of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 214 and active with White Shrine. She was a member of the Federated Women's Club.


she is survived by her husband, three sons, Lawrence James McEntaffer, Clarinda, Glen William McEntaffer, Omaha, Nebraska, Omaha, Nebraska, Stanley Edgar Jr., Shenandoah and a sister, Sylvia Fesenmeyer, Greeley,  Colorado.


Funeral services were conducted from the Walker Funeral Home this Monday afternoon with REv. John L. Beebout in charge. Music for the services was by Doris Forbes and Aletha L. Hutchings. Casket bearers were Forest Wynn, John Sperry, Harold Brown, Howard Fleck, Paul McClelland, and Clarke McComb.


Burial was in the Clarinda Cemetery.
