Mary Ann Fasser, 80, 2422 N. Nye Ave., died Saturday evening at an Omaha hospital.

She was born Dec. 29, 1903, in York and graduated from Fremont High School in 1923 and attended Midland Lutheran College.

She was the first bookeeper for Gerald Sampter Clothing. Mary Ann Van Druff married Dr. Alexander Fasser on Jan. 1, 1930.

Following Dr. Fasser's death in 1959, Mrs. Fasser became a housemother for fraternities and sororities at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Fresno State College and the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. Mrs. Fasser returned to Fremont after she retired in 1973.

Mrs. Fasser was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Dodge County Historical Society, Fremont Art Association, Stockton Art Association and the charter class of Red Cross Volunteers at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.

She served as president of the Fremont American Legion Auxiliary and Dodge County Legion Auxiliary, regent of Lewis-Clark Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), state DAR historian, was an officer in Arbor Vitae Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, president of St. Catherine's Guild and active in Fremont Girl Scouts and Fremont High School Girl Reserves.

Memorial services for Mrs. Fasser will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. James Episcopal Church. Ludvigsen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
