Mildred Amy Killey, age 94 of Whittemore and formerly of Flint and East Tawas died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Tawas Village after a long illness.

Mildred Beardslee was born June 11, 1915 in Whittemore, the daughter of Court Beardslee and Sarah Beardslee and graduated from Whittemore High School.

She was married to Alfred H. Van Natta, in 1938, in Ardmore, OK. That marriage ended in divorce, per contributor, Jim Eason.

Mildred Van Natta married Clarence Killey on 1 May 1954, and worked for General Motors, IBM and Blue Cross. Mildred enjoyed times at their cottage at Sage Lake, her family and friends, traveling, dancing and trailer park activities. She was a member of the Hale Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving were her daughters Bonnie Appleby of Corunna, Elaine (Pat) Winton of Ohio, Karen (Gene) Robertson of Tawas and Cheryl (Larry) Puckett of Springfield, Ohio, grandchildren Brian (Vicki) Winton, Craig (Susan) Winton, Deanna (Steve) Hoffman, David (Bonnie) Robertson, Sherrie (Doug) Cohen, Mark (Rene) Robertson, Corie (Rick) White, Jodie (Calvin) Collier, Joe (Stephanie) Puckett, James Appleby and Lance Appleby, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, daughter and son-in-law Eunice and Gabriel Gabriel, sister Eunice Beardslee and brothers Earl & Lanson Beardslee.
