WILLIAM ACKERSON

LARAMIE—Services for William Ackerson were Friday, May 19, at the Buck-Heggie Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Moore officiating. Interment was in the Green Hills Cemetery, Laramie.

Ackerson, 82, Guernsey, died Sunday, March 14, at the Platte County Hospital in Wheatland.

He was born July 21, 1906 in Iowa, the son of William and Asenath Ackerson. He worked for many years for the Union Pacific Railroad. He retired in 1973 and moved to Guernsey with his wife, Bertha.

They were married Nov. 10, 1968 in Cheyenne. He was a member of the Masons and the Eastern Star.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Hazel Davis of Laramie, Sally Fitzgerald of Cody, Billy Brackenbury, Fort Lupton, Colo., and Shirley Christensen, Laramie; tow stepdaughters, Alma Faccio and Norma Paoli, both of Rock Springs; one stepson, Eugene Cox, Rock Springs; and three sisters.
