JOHN DUNLAP DIES, AGED 85; ILL FOR WEEK
John S. Dunlap, age 85 years, died at his home on West Lincolnway this morning at 8 o'clock following a week's illness.
He was born in Payson, Ill., on September 23, 1852. On December 25, 1884, he was married to Miss Jennie DePoy at Cawker City, Kansas.
To this union were born a son and daughter, Harry and Bertie, who preceded their father in death seven years ago.
Mr. Dunlap came to Valparaiso in 1901, and has since made this city his home.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Jennie Dunlap, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted at the LePell and Son funeral home on Monroe street on Wednesday at 2 p.m., with burial in Graceland cemetery.
Friends may call at the LePell and Son funeral home this evening and up until time of the services.

HOLD RITES FOR JOHN S. DUNLAP
Memorial rites for John S. Dunlap, 85, who died Monday, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the LePell and Son funeral home with Rev. Robert Ryerse of the Baptist church officiating.
Pallbearers were Wilbur Cooper, William Forbes, Talmadge Gerald, Leigh Keene, Nelson Norris and William Shewan. Burial was in Graceland cemetery.
