Myra Marie Hooper 88 of Cowden, Illinois, passed away at 10:39 p.m. July 30, 2010 in St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois. Myra was born May 17, 1922 in Mason, Illinois the daughter of Fred and Maude Culley Stein. She married Paul D. Hooper, December 15, 1940 in Cowden, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1996.

Myra was a member of the First Christian Church of Cowden, Illinois. She loved planting garden, pulling weeds, piecing quilts and visiting with family and friends.

She leaves four children, Barbara (George) David, Ethel Gordon, and David (Tina) Hooper all of Cowden, Illinois; Peggy (John) Hinton of Herrick, Illinois; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Frederick Stein of Effingham, Illinois; and Aleda Milleville of Altamont, Illinois.

Funeral services were in the First Christian Church of Cowden with Rev. Darrell Hinkle and Rev. Tim Boyd officiating.
