Dr. Robert L. Peurifoy was Professor of Civil Engineering at Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas. He was the author of several books: "Estimating Construction Cost", "Construction Planning, Equipment and Methods", and "Formwork for Construction Cost". The American Society of Civil Engineering grants an award each year called the "Robert L. Peurifoy" Award in Civil Engineering. Years after his passing his books are considered classics and still in used in the curriculum for a number of Universities around the world.
He was a 1928 graduate of Texas A & M and a member of the Corps of Cadets.
